Fresh greenery at the Meininger Airport Hotel: Parking lot refurbished and looking its best

12. August 2025

ANH has redesigned the parking lot of the Meininger Airport Hotel at Berlin Brandenburg “Willy Brandt” Airport and, with extensive landscaping, set a fresh accent for sustainability and comfort. A total of 41 trees from the renowned Lorberg tree nursery were planted – including maple, alder, ash, beech, pine, and oak. The new greenery is complemented by 184 hornbeam hedge plants, nearly 10,000 flower bulbs, 41 ornamental grasses, and 5,500 perennials.

The planting improves the microclimate, provides refreshing shade, and enhances the quality of stay around the building. The three-star Meininger Hotel is tailored to the needs of air travelers and occupies the upper floors of the building in their entirety. On the ground floor, alongside the hotel lobby and a breakfast restaurant, a wide range of retail outlets can be found.

With this landscaping, ANH not only creates a more attractive environment for guests and visitors but also makes an important contribution to sustainable site development.

The design is based on plans by the renowned landscape architects geskes hack, to whom we extend our thanks for their commitment.
